Olympic Themed Creative Partnerships Enquiry School Programme
Cineclub Joins Forces with 14 Cultural Organizations across London to Carry out the Olympic Themed 2010/11 Creative Partnerships Enquiry School Programme
A New Direction (AND) is the strategic body for connecting young Londoners with the citys creative and cultural energy. The Enquiry Schools Programme coordinated by AND, is a one-year opportunity for schools to work with a cultural partner to explore creativity, and how it can drive school improvement.
Perceiving that the 2012 London Olympics will provide our young people with The Biggest Learning Opportunity on Earth, AND has just launched the Olympic themed enquiry schools programme, to explore the potential of the Olympics in generating young people’s creative ability.
Only 15 organizations have been selected to work on this amazing opportunity and Cineclub is proud to be one of them. Each organization involved is required to develop a project exploring one of the following themes: Connecting Countries, My Family and Me, Inspired by London, Leading the Way and My Future. And each project will also fit with one aspect of the Every Child Matters agenda.
The application process opens to schools across all 33 London boroughs on 07 June 2010. 150 schools can be involved and if you are interested in taking part in the programme, more information can be found on AND’s website below.
Cineclub is very excited to have the opportunity to be involved in this project and collaborate with the other amazing cultural organisations working across London….
